Design Your Life - by Claude Camilleri

Have you ever designed a home, an apartment or your room? How did you go about it ? Was there any planning involved, any visualization ?

When you designed the area, did you think well, of how you wanted the place to look? Did you think about the color, the space and the feel ? Did you sketch everything on paper or did you keep the whole concept in your head? As you lay out each object, did you know how it would turn out ?

Let me give it a guess !! It probably turned out even better than expected.

Now imagine you took the same principles and applied them to your personal life. How would your life look like ? What would you be doing in your own perfect life ? How would you feel ?

I tried this myself. I sat down and planned my perfect life from A-Z. I wrote down everything I desired (law of attraction) in the present tense. I wrote everything in detail, from the house I lived in, to my daily routine.

Once my two full pages were ready, I felt I needed to include something else, that little extra something, so I decided to include 25 strong AFFIRMATIONS about how I see myself.

With enough material in-front of me I asked myself how I was going to embed all this information in my subconscious. Easy !!
I would record myself using an easy computer software program. So I sat down with the material I had written and started to record myself. It felt funny at first, but once I started, I kept going.

With my recording finished, I was ready to give it a try. I closed my eyes, sat in a comfortable position and pressed play.

I have been doing this for the past week. I first put a hypnosis Audio CD of Paul McKenna and as it finishes my recordings start to play. I wont lie to you when I say, the flame inside me is burning higher and higher, everything is becoming clearer. My subconsciuos is picking up all this valuable information.

After listening to both the CD and my recording I feel pumped up, ready to have yet another proactive and positive day.

I will try this for a whole month. Like I said its been only a week and I can already see the difference. I do SUGGEST you try it out. If you feel recording your voice is strange, that's fine, but don't give up because of shyness. Try reading your perfect life out aloud or at least in your head. Do this every morning. Make it habit, fit it in with your daily cup of tea or coffee. You have nothing to lose. You can ONLY GAIN from this.

I hope you enjoyed this message and got inspired to design your life. Be the person you have always wanted to be, become the real you. Try something new. TRY SOMETHING NEW. TRY SOMETHING NEW.

The Retro Funky Bar

My wife's parents gave us an old wooden bar in need of restoration. During my life I have not had the chance to work with a lot of tools, except a few garden jobs, I did with my cousin Jean Francois in Canada. So here I was, with an opportunity to redeem myself and try something new, a new challenge.

So I thought well and hard, how I wanted the end product to look like. I pictured a white bar with matt silver designs, a kind of retro funky look. I listed all the tools that would be necessary for my mission (I got the sand paper machine, paint, Wall Paper and Glue).
All I needed now, was time, patience and a bit of creativity.

My in laws were coming in three weeks (Deadline). So in my plan, I gave one week to sanding it down, another to painting and the rest to the finishes.

The first part was the easiest, I got a clothe and dusted the bar till every dust particle was swept away. I then got a damp clothe and went over it. Once it was clean I could see my vision clearly. I started sanding the piece in continuous motion up and down. I did this for a while. Slowly but surely the wood started to exfoliate its over aged wooden skin and took a new facade.

I was ready to give it a new fresh appearance. I got my paint brush and started to paint. I went over the entire bar six times over six days. It felt as if the wood enjoyed this attention.  Finally as the week came to an end, the bar began to show its true colors.

My wife and I had chosen this amazing wall paper which would give more character to our piece. Together we glued parts of the bar and the wallpaper, and slowly worked our way up to the end of the bar. We had to work in a team as if one of us was not in sync, we would get bubbles in the wallpaper.

The end result was amazing. The bar looks absolutely great, and better yet, it was my first restoration project.

The Morale of this story is that many of us start one or many things and never finish them. Why? What stops us from finishing ? Why do we give up half way ? Why aren't we like

those athletes in Marathons, who although are last, keep running, no matter what it takes, until they get to the finish line?

PATIENCE. BELIEF. FAITH, CONSTANT ACTION are but some of a few words I can think of. Not everything can come in an instance. We have to be patient. We need to believe and have faith in ourselves and we need to take constant action.

Think about the rewards you will have at the end. Feel how good it would feel to finish what you have started. I know you can finish your own personal bar. It will feel fantastic.
